Begin your safari adventure in Udawalawe National Park, a renowned wildlife destination surrounded by scenic highlands. Travel through a diverse landscape of grasslands, scrubland and forest while your experienced driver-guide helps you spot wildlife. Udawalawe is particularly famous for its large elephant population, so keep your camera ready for memorable encounters with wild elephants. You may also see water buffalo, crocodiles, monkeys, peacocks, eagles and many species of birds and other wildlife.

- 03Elephant Transit Home (ETH)
Visit the Elephant Transit Home, a rehabilitation centre for orphaned and injured young elephants. The facility provides care for elephants until they are ready to return to the wild. From the designated viewing area, observe the young elephants during their feeding time and learn more about the rehabilitation process. To protect the animals and support their eventual return to the wild, visitors are not permitted to approach or touch them.
